Not just that, Samsung has shown some really good dedication regarding making the experience even better. The South Korean giant is already working on a feature that will make the Galaxy S23 cameras perform better in low light and HDR. Today, an individual from Samsung's camera development team mentioned that the company is working on adding a new 2x option in portrait mode. This is handy for those who don't want the subject to be too far or too close.
Currently, the Galaxy S23 allow for 1x and 3x in portrait mode, but the company has said that they are going to add a 2x mode via a software update. However, it is also worth noting that we are not sure if the new feature will be extended to Expert RAW, but if you still use the stock camera app, then it definitely is something that you should look forward to.
The update should be coming to the Galaxy S23 devices globally in a couple of months. However, upon being asked whether the update is going to come to Galaxy S22 and older devices, the representative mentioned that the phone is currently not under review. However, this does not mean that the older phone won't get the update. Samsung does have a habit of releasing updates for older devices a bit late, but it never really misses out on the chance to push the latest features.
