According to one of our writers, they did not get this scene during their first clear. Instead, they went into Hyrule Depths and spent almost 20 minutes just trying to defeat the Seized Construct. When they beat Demon King Ganondorf and watched the ending scene and credits, the game went straight back to the main menu.
They were only able to view the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom true ending or post-credits scene after completing the Fifth Sage main quest, which also happens to be how you recruit the Mineru Construct.
