Friday the 13th: The Game players will soon have their accounts maxed out to level 150 and be granted every unlockable in the game.
The game's Twitter account posted a list of changes coming on July 6, which essentially give players access to everything ahead of Friday the 13th's delisting later this year.
Every player will be given the 30 most popular legendary perks with the best rolls possible, every unique kill (outside of DLC), and have all Challenge Skulls unlocked as their accounts are boosted to level 150.
This was the best way we knew how to give you, the players, the best experience and a heartfelt thank you, as we move towards an inevitable goodbye. https://t.co/y25E4NMSq8
"This was the best way we knew how to give you, the players, the best experience and a heartfelt thank you, as we move towards an inevitable goodbye," said Wes Keltner, boss of publisher Gun Interactive, in a follow-up tweet (above).
Friday the 13th will be removed from all physical and digital storefronts on December 31, 2023, due to the IP's licence expiring, but those who own it already can continue playing until at least the end of 2024.
The game has undergone a slow and steady decline after getting a final update in November 2020, the same month its dedicated servers shut down. Legal disputes also stopped the release of some content, like an Among Us-style werewolf mode.
In our 6/10 review of the base game in 2017, IGN said: "Lopsided gameplay and egregious bugs almost kill the mood of Jason's murder spree in Friday the 13th: The Game."
