With Embers of Neltharion out, Blizzard has given a roadmap update for what they’re working on for World of Warcraft ’s next Dragonflight update – Fractures in Time.
This new content update will be out this summer, and will feature a new mega-dungeon, Dawn of the Infinite, new public event, Time Rifts, and a new support specialization for the dracthyr Evoker. There’s more coming in the update, which is heading over the PTR, including a new questline and some new dailies, and much more.
The team dives into what's coming, but one of the highlights has to be the new dracthyr Evoker specialization, Augmentation. This is a damage dealing, by way of support, specialization that gets its ownseparate deep dive preview.
Augmentation will be available to all dracthyr when Fractures in Time goes live. The official description says “Imbues allies with the might of the Black dragons, and bends time & fate in their favor with Bronze magic”.
So how will it work? Augmentation is described as a support specialization, but it is a support specialization that amplifies damage dealing. So it is also a damage dealer role, done by proxy, using your abilities to act like a force multiplier. Some abilities buff the whole party and others target single members.
Fractures in Time will also introduce the Mythic-only mega-dungeon, Dawn of the Infinite. Not only will you have to defeat eight bosses along the way, the mega dungeon will take you across the time ways, working across time to protect azeroth's timeline and defeat the Infinite dragonflight.
