The Design Team strives to create unique skins that players can wear with pride. Each outfit must look like its made in Aeternum. Before armor sets find their way into loot drops or Store showcases, they begin as research. While players should only have to think about how they can express themselves, the team must always consider factors like time periods, and cultures when crafting new designs. Every skin unfortunately can’t resonate with the community, but player feedback continues to help our designers create even more compelling outfits.

Learn how one of our most popular skins made the journey from concept art to Aeternum:
«For the Silent Death armor sets, we wanted to explore a more dark and gothic direction,» said Concept Artist Kiana Hamm. «I imagined the Metal Raven skin as an assassin type character. For the outfit itself, we landed on a more fashionable dark fantasy style rather than something grounded and historical. But I balanced it out with practical elements that an assassin would need on the job, such as daggers and flasks of poison.»
“I incorporated gothic shapes, inspired by the architecture of gothic cathedrals. It's a bit morbid, but I like to incorporate anatomical aspects into my designs, so the armor on the gloves and boots are modeled after vertebrae. The face mask is a combination between a human and raven skull, and if you look closely at the leather on the chest piece, it resembles overlapping black birds. The skirt of the tunic is also abstracted raven wings, and the gloves have silver claws.”
