Activision has revealed the first details for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3.
The company teased what’s to come next season at the end of the patch notes for Season 2, which launched on Wednesday.
Season 3 will include the return of the multiplayer mode Gunfight, which will receive new maps each season.
Warzone Ranked will be introduced in Season 3, along with the returning Plunder mode, which features full respawns and challenges players to loot the most cash.
As noted by Charlie Intel, Season 3 could be set to start around April 12, based on the game’s updated Battle Pass timer.
Activision has also announced new details about Season 2 Reloaded. The mid-season update will add a new core 6v6 multiplayer map, which was teased with the image below.
“The Infinity Ward MP team has decided to move the map up, as it’s already play testing well and tracking ahead of schedule,” it said.
Following Season 2’s launch, Raven Software has confirmed it’s investigating an issue causing some players to get stuck when attempting to revive teammates.
Key features of the latest season include Warzone 2’s new Japanese-themed map, Ashika Island, and the return of Resurgence mode, a streamlined spin-off of the game’s regular battle royale with respawns enabled.
Modern Warfare 2 has added fresh multiplayer maps, new game modes and weapons, and Ranked Play in Season 2.
