Final Fantasy XIV 6.5 Delivers a New Dungeon, Falls Guys Crossover, More in Early October
The next major update for the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV arrives next month, and Square Enix has revealed what we can look forward to. Update 6.5, entitled “Growing Light” will deliver the usual things you’d expect, including a new main story chapter, dungeon, and Unreal Trial, as well as… Fall Guys crossover content? Final Fantasy content has already come to Fall Guys, so I suppose it makes sense that the crossover is going the other way as well. In addition to above Final Fantasy XIV 6.5 additions, players can look forward to update 6.51 in late October and 6.55 in early January. These updates will include more main scenario quests, a new Criterion Dungeon, PvP arena, and a bunch more. Of course, Square Enix has also revealed details of Final Fantasy XIV’s next big expansion, “Dawntrail,” which will arrive next summer. More info on that expansion will be revealed on October 21.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PS4, and PS5, and launches on Xbox Series X/S in early 2024. Update 6.5 drops on October 3.
