Final Fantasy IX Memoria Project, the Unreal Engine 5-powered passion project of a team of over 50 artists and developers, has received an impressive gameplay demo.
With recent rumors about Square Enix doing a proper Final Fantasy IX Remake popping up again, we thought it would be nice to share this 25-minute-long gameplay demo of the upcoming fan remake of the 2000 fan-favorite. Of course, this video is in no way connected to Square Enix, and we're merely looking at a concept video. Nonetheless, this video is quite stunning, and we're pretty sure that fans of the game will appreciate it. You'll find the video below. For those unfamiliar with the Memoria Project - the project is a non-playable fan project made a team of over 50 professional game developers and artists ithat aim to reimagine what Square's original PlayStation would look like if it was remade with modern graphical capabilities. As said, rumors about a Final Fantasy IX remake have heated up since last week with several credible sources claiming that the game might be a PlayStation exclusive featuring "traditional gameplay". Although "traditional", it is said that we're looking at a proper remake of the game instead of a simple remaster.
