Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 16 will receive its second and final paid DLC this week with The Rising Tide. Clive and friends will venture to a new location, Mysidia, to unravel the mystery of Leviathan, facing new challenges in the process. However, a free update will go live the same day and include new quality-of-life features like Quick Complete and Skill Sets.
Players can acquire new Orchestrion rolls from regional shops, but the combat adjustments are perhaps the most noteworthy. Player attack outside certain Eikon battles is higher, and certain Eikonic Abilities are getting buffs. Ramuh’s Blind Justice now creates two ball lightning instances and can be detonated by pressing the Feat button instead of with attacks.
When using Bahamut’s Wings of Light, you’ll dodge upon starting it and cancelling it will deplete the gauge to the next level. You can also initiate a Megaflare Dodge upon dodging attacks in Wings of Light. Garuda’s Gouge now deals more damage and Will damage while its recast time is lower, while Aerial Blast deals more damage and dispels some ranged magic attacks.
