Lizzo's fans are coming to her defense after body-shamers had some not nice opinions about her new show, Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. The singer, who has always been proud of her body, announced on February 17 that her new reality competition series would premiere on March 25, exclusively on Amazon Prime. The series follows a group of female dancers competing to win a spot as a backup dancer on Lizzo's tour. Lizzo rose to prominence in 2019 when she released her major-label debut album Cuz I Love You, including popular songs «Juice» and «Truth Hurts,» which was featured on the deluxe edition. The star's presence was a refreshing change to the pop music industry that has been flooded with thin white girls for decades. The Detroit native confidently arrived on the scene, making it clear she was not going to change her appearance to fulfill the unrealistic and damaging beauty standard. Her new reality competition show is very on-brand for the unapologetic singer who has praised her body in many of her songs, including her 2021 collaboration with Cardi B.
