An eerie encounter with a mysterious droid in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been linked to a disturbing piece of Star Wars lore. This easter egg joins a range of others, including one reference to Xenoblade Chronicles which plays on the inherent meme value of characters from both games sharing a voice actor.
The Skywalker Saga has certainly made a splash, thanks in part to its incredible volume of content. Despite some production delays, it has now delivered on the promise of a LEGO adaptation of all nine main Star Wars films in one game. Moreover, characters from even more Star Wars properties have been promised to be part of DLC down the line. But even so, The Skywalker Saga is already the largest LEGO game out there, promising hours of fun in its main storyline alone. And straying from the beaten path slightly has already led players to uncover some unusual exploits, like attacking a young Anakin Skywalker to achieve flight.

But amongst all the small details that have made it into The Skywalker Saga, none are as strange as a random droid encounter in Mos Espa. While exploring Tattoine's second-most famous spaceport, players can encounter a small but creepy cutscene featuring a dull protocol droid. Kotaku has now identified this droid as Nobot, the focus of a small but disturbing piece of Star Wars lore. The tale of a droid who wandered into town covered in blood and blaster damage originates in Star Wars Legends, from back when it was called the Extended Universe. In a game that is missing some notable landmarks and planets from the films, Nobot seems very lucky to have been included, and most likely thanks to a brief appearance in The Phantom
