The Fallout London total conversion mod will be the icing on the cake for Fallout 4, learning from the base game's mistakes and shortcomings and adding features that people wanted to see in the base game.
Speaking with DualShockers, Team FLON's Project Lead Dean Carter and Lead 2D Artist Emily Kemp talked about the upcoming total conversion mod, highlighting its size and features. Alongside introducing a new setting for the series, as no Fallout game to date is set in Europe, the members of the development team highlighted how they took the opportunity to fix things players did not like in the base game and add new requested features, such as a silent main character, more skill checks in dialogues, ladder-climbing, proper swimming animations and more. As such, Fallout London is sort of like the icing on the cake for the base game, and not a total conversion that does away with most of the base game's features.
While the development of Fallout London is almost done, the release of the total conversion mod this April will not be the end of Team FLON. While some of the members will move on to work on the Fallout: Vault 13 project, which aims to remake the first entry in the series in the Fallout 4 engine, the team aims to develop a full game, as Modern Storyteller did with their The Forgotten City, a Skyrim total conversion mod which eventually became a full game.
The Fallout London total conversion mod will be released this April. More information on the project can be found on its official website.
