Ahead of this weekend's EVE Fanfest 2023, CCP Games has brought its name finder tool back online, letting players find their character names on the revamped Worlds within a World monument in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Earlier this year, CCP Games announced it was commemorating the last 20 years by updating its existing physical monument to EVE Online to include capsuleers from the last two decades of internet spaceships. The newly renovated monument still stands near CCP Games' old building on the harbor in Reykjavik, Iceland, and is a fitting tribute to the players who have helped keep New Eden alive with activity and intrigue.
The Monument itself now has a second tier of plaques, with the names of capsuleers inscribed on it in alphabetical order to make it easier for players to search for their names. However, the online namefinder tool has now been brought back online to help make it easier to find your capsuleer when making a pilgrimage to the monument the next time you're in Iceland. Those pilots whose name was on the original monument are commemorated with a Chevron icon next to their name, which is a nice touch.
Peter «CCP Swift» Ferrell notes in a post on the EVE Online forums that the monument will be «officially» christened later this week during the Fanfest festivities by CCP Hellmar, but that the namefinder would help those players who are already roaming around Iceland's capitol ahead of EVE Fanfest 2023.
