Every time you think Fortnite has collaborated with just about every other IP in existence, a new crossover is announced. As the constantly-evolving BR game continues to dabble in the world of anime, its boss has hinted that it may well be on the cusp of landing one of its biggest crossovers yet. A working relationship that would finally bring elements and characters from The Last Of Us to Fortnite.
Speaking with VHS_Soho, Epic boss Donald Mustard confirmed that a Fortnite x The Last Of Us crossover could happen in the future. The massively popular BR game has proved time and time again there's no brand too big to benefit from its characters and likenesses appearing in Fortnite. Everyone from Master Chief to She-Hulk is already in there, two characters I'm sure Joel and Ellie would be able to hold their own against.

There's also previous when it comes to PlayStation IP getting the Fortnite treatment. God of War's Kratos is already in the game. The Last Of Us wouldn't be the first non-child-friendly series to be added to Fortnite either. Players have already been given the chance to continue Alien and Predator's previously dormant battle in The Loop via in-game Predator and Xenomorph skins. So, nothing holding The Last Of Us back from joining the Fortnite fray other than timing.
While it certainly isn't a requirement, Fortnite crossovers normally land on the island at around the same time as a game launch, or a movie hitting cinemas. Dead Space's Isaac got a Fortnite skin when the remake launched earlier this year. There's usually new and recycled Star Wars content waiting in the wings to hit Fortnite whenever needed too. May
