The twin-stick shooter is the latest in the series from Amplitude Studios — which alongside previous entries like and has released the well-received in recent years — and will be published by SEGA. attended a special hands-on preview that offered players their first taste of the game's multiplayer mode.
The general premise of revolves around the player being marooned on an ancient space station built by a past civilization called the Endless. Like many roguelites, the gameplay loop consists of venturing into one of the title's dungeons, traveling through defeating enemies and collecting loot, and either emerging victorious or dying along the journey. Regardless of their fate, every run brings players back to the ship's saloon where they can spend their findings before heading out again.

Although a previous hands-on preview of gave a strong idea of the game's overall mechanics, this fresh look has shown just how important multiplayer is to the title. The build features several new characters from the last time got a look at the game, with a list of three expanding to eight that players can choose from. All fighters bring their own unique strengths to the table that flourish in a group dynamic, with each possessing certain weapon fortes, a Special Skill, and an Ultimate Skill.
