The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman is a Legendary Talisman in Elden Ring that reduces all physical damage taken by 20%. Despite having «Greatshield» in its name, this Talisman does not require Tarnished to wield a shield for its buff to take effect. Therefore, players can equip the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman before facing any enemy that deals heavy physical damage. However, keep in mind that this Dragoncrest Talisman in Elden Ring cannot be used as an offset for Radagon's or Marika's Soreseal, as they increase damage taken for damage types.
The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman pairs exceptionally well with builds focused on damage absorption. For instance, those using the «Invincible» Fingerprint Stone Shield will significantly boost their defenses with this Talisman equipped. Basic physical attacks and combos from formidable foes such as Malenia or Radagon can be easily blocked with this Talisman in one's loadout. Nonetheless, Tarnished still must be cautious of any enemy abilities or Spells that deal non-physical damage.
