Eden Eternal is the latest MMORPG to get a relaunch under a new publisher. In advance of the new global server opening tomorrow, X-Legend Entertainment has announced launch events, and opened pre-installation.
The game was originally released in Western markets back in 2011 under Aeria Games before eventually shutting down in early 2021. X-Legend stepped in and announced back in February of this year that they were bringing Eden Eternal back for another run on a global server. The company has also had a hand in new publishing deals for a couple of other classic MMOs like Grand Fantasia.
There are several different races to choose from, each with their own lore,culture, and even architectural styles. Classes are flexible, so you can switch roles and skills if you want to explore a new direction or simply put together a more effective team. There are 20 available classes to choose from and blend your experience. The Couple System is designed to connect players from around the world to play together.
There is an open world to explore in this fantasy MMO, each of the different continents having its own local flavor and climate, and different things to discover.
For any veteran of MMORPGs, none of this is groundbreaking, but some might enjoy returning to the world or to discover something else with another free to play option. We’ve been seeing some older titles or even discontinued ones getting new life with new publishers or new classic servers, seeing something worth bringing back or a community that might be underserved.
