E3 2023’s organiser has provided an update on this year’s revamped show and claimed that “AAA companies” have committed to exhibiting.
E3 2023 – the flagship industry event’s first physical show in four years – will run from Tuesday, June 13 and has been taken over from the Entertainment Software Association by ReedPop, the media and events company behind PAX, EGX and Star Wars Celebration.
So far, Ubisoft is the only major publisher to publicly commit to the physical E3 2023 show, while Nintendo has confirmed it will be skipping this year’s event.
However, in an update published on Thursday, ReedPop claimed that unnamed “AAA companies, in addition to indie darlings and tech and hardware firms” have committed to “making their return” to the LA Convention Center.
“The full roster of exhibitors will be announced in the leadup to the expo, providing participating companies the opportunity to make their own individual announcements beforehand,” it said in a statement.
Registration for E3 2023 industry passes opens today, following media applications which began last month. Working members of the gaming industry can apply for industry passes here. ReedPop claims that 1,350 members of the media and content creators have already applied.
Under the revamped format, the first two days of E3 2023 (June 13-14) will be reserved exclusively for business. The third day (June 15) will welcome both business and consumer visitors, while the final day (June 16) will be dedicated to consumers.
Industry visitors will have access to both the LACC’s West and South halls, while on public days, consumer visitors will have access to the South hall only.
On Thursday ReedPop revealed more details on how it hopes to improve the E3 experience for business
