Dying Light 2 has been out in the wild now for almost a month, and fans have been given a trickle of news about the potential addition of New Game+. While nothing has been officially announced, a developer who works on Dying Light 2 has teased the feature.
In the build up to its release, Dying Light 2 was very much billed as a game in which the player would make choices that would have an impact on the story and the world around them. Although reviews didn't view the story positively, the tight parkour and satisfying combat helped ensure that Dying Light 2 sold very well.

Tymon Smektała, who is a lead designer on Dying Light 2, has elaborated on whether the RPG is likely to get a New Game+ mode. While Smektała can't offer any dates for New Game+ being added, he does say that he hopes the feature can be implemented, and if so, rather soon. Smektała also says that the idea was for players to experience choices different to their own through the co-op mode while exploring another player's world. Some Twitter users have responded to the tweet with calls to fix the game itself before adding new content. This comes as little surprise, as Dying Light 2 released in quite a buggy state.
Dying Light 2s predecessor, Dying Light, featured a New Game+ mode, meaning that it is more than likely that the sequel will also receive the mode at some point. New Game+ is a common feature in games nowadays, as it gives players a reason to jump back into a game and keeps them hooked for longer.
