In Palworld, you have the freedom to treat your Pals as you wish. For the most part, players love to spoil their captured buddies and wouldn’t dream of hurting them. Sometimes, however, butchering a Pal is needed. Thankfully, the game censors that action. Right?
Kazziel69 pointed out on the subreddit that the censoring for the butchering action doesn’t work when in a dungeon.
This left many players gobsmacked, me included, to see the Pal get so ruthlessly struck by the cleaver. I know the game allows you to carpet bomb herds of innocent Pals with bazookas and lets you get away with work conditions that no union would approve of, but the censoring of the butcher animation was the developers drawing a fine line.
Yet the dungeons hilariously and horrifyingly stop that.
Other players also stepped up and mentioned how this was happening, so I’m sure Pocketpair will soon get around to fixing that along with the monumental task of fixing other bugs, pathing, and adding new content.
My only question was: why are people butchering their Pals in a dungeon?

I tried it for myself to see if this still works, as a couple of updates had graced the game since I witnessed this brutal scene. I had a feeling it would probably be patched by now.
Long story short, it still works.
I don’t know why you’d want to, but if you wish to see what butchering a Pal looks like, just head over to a dungeon to find out. However, don’t forget the victim or the Meat Cleaver while you’re at it.
Now that you’re familiar with this disturbing bug in Palworld, why don’t you learn about how to butcher Pals yourself?
