Following relative silence for the past many years, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is finally starting to receive new details. Square Enix announced that the title would be coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch while teasing “The legend of Erdrick draws near.” Interestingly, it could arrive before the fiscal year concludes, i.e., by March 31st, 2025.
After correctly reporting on the title recently, leaker Midori revealed that the remake would launch “By the end of this fiscal year.” It seemingly indicates that it will arrive sometime next year, maybe between January and March 2025. When asked if it would only consist of the third game, she replied, “I think it is Loto trilogy.”
The Loto trilogy encompasses the first three titles in the series. It’s also known as the Erdrick trilogy, which further ties into Square Enix hyping the “legend of Erdrick” and explains the long development time. Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake will reportedly be showcased at the next Nintendo Direct in June, so stay tuned for further updates (and a potential release window).
This is correct information.
By the end of this fiscal year.
