The highly-anticipated new Dragon Ball Super film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has revealed its fair share of trailers and visuals; however, the most recent of these has revealed something that fans may have been begging for, for years.
With the worldwide release of the film being slated for August 18, the international fans of the Dragon Ball franchise will already have their excitement pushed to the maximum with news that the main heroes of the film are not to be Goku and Vegeta as per usual, but Gohan and his master, Piccolo. The cherry on top of the cake for Dragon Ball fans this time around is the reveal of brand-new forms for Gohan and Piccolo, as well as the reintroduction of a classic Dragon Ball Z villain.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Summer Release Date Announced
Initially touted for release in April 2022, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was delayed to June 12, which also resulted in the delay of the eventual international release of the new film. Since the Japan release of the new Dragon Ball Super, there has been an incredible amount of excitement regarding the next installment in the franchise, particularly regarding the focus on Gohan as one of the film's main heroes.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has sold over 1 million tickets in Japan in just over two weeks at the Box Office, raking in over 1.2 billion yen in the process. There have been various trailers and visuals for the movie since its announcement; however, one recent trailer features some content that was never in any of the previous ones, including visuals of Gohan's new form, «Beast Gohan» and «Orange Piccolo», as well as the return of Cell – «Cell Max».
