San Diego Comic-Con 2022 attendees got to see the first look at James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, including a quick look at Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock, and his design is simple but perfect. The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues exploring its cosmic side with new characters and adventures, but the ones that are still leading this side of this connected universe are the Guardians of the Galaxy, who are coming back with their third adventure after a couple of obstacles during production.
Simply titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the story is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame and after Thor (Chris Hemsworth) spent some time with them in Thor: Love and Thunder, and while plot details remain unknown, it will see Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and the rest of the team going on a new mission to defend the universe (again) and protect one of their own. Meanwhile, Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) is still missing and the team will come across two very important but dangerous characters: the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), said to be the main antagonist and through which Rocket Raccoon’s origins could be explained, and Adam Warlock.

Warlock’s arrival to the MCU was teased in one of the many post-credits scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 where Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) revealed she had created a being powerful enough to get rid of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and right there she decided to call him “Adam”.
