Will Poulter addresses his future as Adam Warlock in the MCU after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Director James Gunn will wrap up his Marvel Studios sub-franchise with the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy films next year. Featuring the return of the series' core cast led by Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to deal with Rocket Raccoon's tragic origins, as well as the whereabouts of 2014 Gamora following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Aside from featuring the primary Guardians of the Galaxy, the threequel will also debut a few new characters to the MCU. That includes Chukwudi Iwuji as the narrative's primary villain, the High Evolutionary, and Poulter's Adam Warlock. Unlike the former, however, Poulter's arrival in the universe had long been rumored due to his involvement in the Infinity Saga comics narrative. Despite being set up in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 post-credits scene, Adam Warlock's MCU introduction won't be until Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 where he is expected to play an important part in the story.
