Following the recent surprise announcement of Budokai Tenkaichi 4, Dragon Ball fans are starting to fear what might happen to their controllers thanks to beam clashes and excessive analogue stick wiggling.
Last week, Bandai Namco did the unthinkable and announced that a mainline Budokai Tenkaichi game was in development for the first time since 2007. It was massive news for Dragon Ball fans who have been waiting for a fourth game in the series for so long and the community has been abuzz since the first trailer dropped. As great as a fourth Budokai Tenkaichi game is, though, it might not be good news for everyone, specifically those hoping to keep their controllers intact.

Shortly after Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was announced, reaction memes started being shared, mostly to show everyone's excitement. They're also managing to capture fear and dread as the Dragon Ball community has collectively remembered the damage that beam clashes did to analogue sticks back in the old days.
For those who don't know, most Dragon Ball games include a beam clash mechanic for when two players attack with a Kamehameha-style attack at the same time. In some Dragon Ball games, this leads to a button mashing session or both attacks being cancelled out, but for Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi, both players have to rapidly spin the analogue stick around as fast as possible to win, usually causing damage to both the player's palm and their controller. Even worse, Budokai Tenkaichi also does this if two players attack each with fists at the same time, so it's even more of a common thing than in Budokai.
