Population: One, the VR-exclusive battle royale, is going free-to-play beginning today, March 9, and Big Box VR has released a roadmap of what players can expect from the game moving forward.
New players will receive 300 Bureau Gold, while those who purchased the game before it went free-to-play will receive the Original Banana Bundle. That bundle is an $80 value with items that can't be obtained in-game any other way. Listed below is everything included with the Banana Bundle:
There'll also be a new Sandbox map that'll replace Outpost Hill. Players can also play Classic Squads on the game's original map from Season One. Population: One is also getting a graphics update, improving the game's appearance. Balance changes to help ensure the game is properly balanced, a new single-player mode with players facing bots, skill-based matchmaking, new mod tools, and more are also in the works.
In addition to all the changes, players will be able to participate in a sandbox battle royale mode and playlist that'll go live on March 30. As the year goes on, players can also look forward to new weapons, updates on maps, and new sandbox features and modes.
