A new promotional image for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been uncovered showing Rintrah. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a follow-up to the first Doctor Strange film and ties in directly to the recently released Spider-Man: No Way Home. The sequel will revolve around the fallout of Doctor Strange's spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home that accidentally opened the multiverse. The movie will also be introducing new characters to the MCU, such as Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, who goes under the pseudonym Ms. America in the comics, and Rintrah.
While Rintrah has never appeared before in the MCU, his character has been around since 1986. In the comics, Rintrah is from a planet called R'Vaal and was initially trained as a weaver of fabrics and cloth goods. After an encounter with Strange, the minotaur eventually becomes an apprentice. However, details about the film version of the character have not been released. Rintrah was briefly seen in Doctor Strange 2's first trailer, but he hasn't been a huge presence in the marketing material for the sequel.
