Disney Speedstorm accelerates into Early Access in April
Mickey, Goofy, Donald and chums are preparing y to crash into a stand full of screaming fans in a fiery wreckage, as licensed racer Disney Speedstorm is preparing to leave the starting grid and burn into Early Access April 18.
While the final release of the curious new road-ripper will be free-to-play, the Early Access edition will only be open to those who have purchased one of the various special editions of the title, all of which feature various unlockable characters as well as an abundance of (quite literal) Mickey Mouse Money. Once the Early Access period — which will take place on PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Switch platforms — concludes, then Disney Speedstorm will launch proper as a free-to-play release.
“We’re eager for fans to start their engines by joining us on the Disney Speedstorm racetracks throughout Early Access and battle each other as iconic racers on stunning tracks inspired by Disney and Pixar films,” says Gameloft’s game manager Aska Suzuki. “We can’t wait to hear our community’s feedback and to work together to create a game that is reactive to the needs and wants of the players as we plan to offer a constantly evolving racing experience.”
The three Disney Speedstorm pre-order packages are as follows. Each contains Early Access… access.
