Diablo 4 has become something of a mid-year milestone we really can't wait to reach, thanks largely to positive preview coverage and the implementation of some fresh ideas. Also, it's a new Diablo game!
In an interview with PC Gamer, associate game director Joe Piepiora revealed that players are «looking at roughly 80 hours worth of time invested to complete the entirety of the Battle Pass». That might sound like a lot, but it is fairly consistent with other service title offerings such as Call of Duty or Fortnite.
It does take a little mental reframing to position hardcore, grim-as-heck ARPG Diablo as having fundamental systems in common with the colourful Fall Guys, but that's the world we live in, isn't it?
