When the team behind Digimon Survive said that the game's story would be dark, they really weren't kidding. Depending on the choices that players make during the first half of the game, several of the main characters can end up dead, with some seemingly destined to die regardless of what players do. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, this has led to many players wondering whether it's possible to save everyone in Digimon Survive.
Digimon Survive: All Routes (& How To Get Them)
It should perhaps go without saying, but those seeking answers to such questions are going to run into some serious spoilers pretty quickly. For some, however, being able to save their favorite character from an untimely death or keep every member of the group alive will make it all of this worthwhile. Alternatively, they may just want to jump back into the game after finishing their first playthrough to find out what other outcomes are available.

Sadly, Ryo is destined to die in Part 3 regardless of what players do, at least on their first playthrough anyway. After completing the game for the first time, however, it's possible to save Ryo in New Game+ mode. To do so, players will need to raise their affinity with Ryo to 35 or higher and then select the «Of course we'll help!» option when asked if they want to save him. Kunemon will then jump in at the last minute, allowing the group to rush in and save Ryo just in the nick of time.
Much like Ryo, players will not be able to save Shuuji on their first playthrough no matter what they do. Shuuji can be kept alive in New Game+ mode, though the steps for doing so are a little more complicated. Not only will players need to get their affinity with Shuuji
