Today, NVIDIA announced that DLSS 3 will be available in this weekend's Diablo IV Stress Slam. Last we heard, DLSS 3 was only scheduled to be added at launch, but NVIDIA and Blizzard must have accelerated that schedule.
NVIDIA did not indicate the magnitude of the performance improvements that GeForce RTX 40 owners can expect from DLSS 3, so we'll have to find ourselves in a couple of days. As a reminder, the Diablo IV Stress Slam test takes place on PC and consoles between May 12 at 12 pm PT to May 14 at 12 pm PT. While players won't find their beta characters (Blizzard must have already deleted them before deciding to do another stress test weekend) waiting for them, the entire Fractured Peaks zone will be available for exploration this time around, and the level cap will be 20.
For those who missed the beta events, this is another chance to unlock the two titles and cosmetic items granted to beta players after unlocking specific achievements. There's also a brand new cosmetic item on offer for everyone, the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. The latest Game Ready driver is already optimized for the Stress Slam, so if you have already updated your GeForce GPU's drivers, you are all set.
Today, NVIDIA also unveiled the official GeForce RTX 40 GPU bundle. Starting today through June 13th, purchases of GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080, and 4090 GPUs and desktop PCs at eligible retailers will earn customers a free digital copy of Diablo IV through Battle.net, in addition to the following in-game items:
The Diablo IV promotion is valid worldwide, with the exception of the following countries: China, Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba. The codes will have to be redeemed through GeForce Experience before July 13th.
