The true mage class in the Beta for comes from the Sorcerer, whose best builds revolve around the player's ability to manage their hefty Mana resource in conjunction with certain stats, skills, and other abilities. Thankfully, the Sorcerer's possible builds are far more straightforward than the other classes available in the Beta since the class relies entirely on certain elemental magic paths. A class highly recommended for beginners of the series, the Sorcerer has plenty of options in their skills that undeniably create a strong character through the 26 available Skill Points players can use up to Level 25.
The Sorcerer can feel much like a glass cannon, with extremely high damage through an absurd Intelligence stat that defines the magic they cast. There are six groups of Skills that define this playable character class in , divided into Basic, Core, Defensive, Conjuration, Mastery, and Ultimate abilities. With each Skill having multiple upgrades players can invest in with their Skill Points, players are recommended to keep an eye out for passive Talents that could increase the effectiveness of attacks when allocating points.

The only weapons players can use as the Sorcerer are two-handed Staffs or one-handed Wands. Acting as arcane focuses for magic, each weapon enhances the magic being cast, not dealing physical damage whatsoever. As a result of this simple application, players should look for weapons that deal as much magic damage as possible, emphasizing increasing Intelligence or Willpower stats.
