Diablo fans aren't strangers to account-wide stat bonuses, such as those from the Diablo III Paragon system. Many players, however, raised questions regarding Diablo 4's new Altars of Lilith: would the account-wide bonuses persist through seasons, or would you have to earn all of those bonuses again every few months? Blizzard recently clarified during the most recent Diablo 4 Developer Update Livestream that stat bonuses gained from Altars of Lilith will be permanent — but only within the same game mode.
For players, this means that once unlocked in one gameplay type (say, Hardmode), Altar of Lilith bonuses will remain for all characters created for that gameplay type from then on. Even among Seasons, while the experience bonuses may be «reset», allowing you to find Altars again for small bonuses, the core stat bonuses will remain unlocked.
