The fifth week of Season of the Haunted is live in Destiny 2, as well as the next set of challenges that Guardians can complete. This week, the Bound in Sorrow quest continues as the Guardians attempt to help Empress Caiatl with her own Nightmare, Dominus Ghaul. As the central antagonist during the Red War campaign, Dominus Ghaul has made several appearances since his defeat either via the mention of his name or as part of the Shadowkeep expansion. Additionally, players have the opportunity to earn more Figments of Darkness, allowing them to unlock more Crown of Sorrow upgrades in Destiny 2.
The fifth week of Season of the Haunted marks the halfway point for new sets of issued challenges, but the majority of challenges have officially been released. While the first three weeks each saw three new sets of 10 weekly challenges, week four's set contained nine challenges, and week five only contains an additional seven. For the final five weeks of Season of the Haunted, players can expect a similar amount of challenges to be issued every week, or at the very least no less than five or six challenges for any given set. Nonetheless, there should be enough opportunities to earn Figments of Darkness to unlock every Crown of Sorrow upgrade as the season progresses.

Additionally, Guardians can expect the adept version of the new Burden of Guilt Fusion Rifle to be available as a reward within the coming weekends in Trials of Osiris. In week four, the adept version new Forgiveness Sidearm was made available for those who managed to complete a Flawless card and claim the reward at the Lighthouse.
