A Destiny 2 player has transplanted their appreciation for yellow corn into the game with a new customized armored set. A clever combination of shaders and armor pieces using the vast armor and colorway library in Destiny 2 resulted in a striking outfit for a Titan of the Last City.
Even before Bungie began catering to customization-focused Guardians explicitly, Destiny and Destiny 2 players made seeking fashionable looks in the game's armor selection a pastime. These days, with ornaments allowing players to freely customize armor appearances, playing Destiny 2 for fashion is even easier. Most players find ways to replicate iconic character designs, like Master Chief from Halo. Others seek original or outright silly new combinations.
One such silly look came courtesy of Destiny 2 player BaxxBreaker, who shared their «Titan of the Corn» costume with the DestinyFashion subreddit. True to its name, the Titan of the Corn resembles a large, walking yellow sweet corn cob, fresh on the stalk and surrounded by leaves. Community members reacted with delight, praising BaxxBreaker's effort and making references to the 1984 film Children of the Corn. Another member evoked the callouts of Destiny 2 Gambit referee The Drifter by saying «Corn Approaching!»
The core of the Titan-based outfit relies on the use of two armor pieces: The tall, pointed Legatus Helm from the Season of the Chosen Season Pass, and the segmented-looking Pfhorian Plate, which was introduced with the Destiny 2 Bungie 30th Anniversary expansion. These, combined with the bright yellow Flavedo Core shader, turn the Titan's torso into a light-bearing corn cob. Meanwhile, the leaves of the corn stalk were replicated using the Anthemic Invocation Gauntlets from the current Season of the Wish, the world drop Devastation Complex boots, and the Pfhorian Mark, all colored using the Graceful Phantom shader for a proper vegetative green.
Despite the game going through a lull period as players await the major changes coming
