Werewolves, secret societies and a skeleton carrying around a boom box all come together for the upcoming graphic novel The Dark Room. The Image Comics hardcover release blends action, adventure, fantasy, horror, and humor. The talented creative team includes Deadpool scribe Gerry Duggan, Angel artist Scott Buoncristiano, and Wonder Woman colorist Tamra Bonvillain.
Duggan is well-known for teaming up with comedian Brian Posehn beginning in 2013 on a Deadpool run that lasted for 45 issues, which has been fondly remembered since it ended back in 2015. Deadpool #27 even won a Guinness World Record for “Most Comic Book Characters on a Single Cover” thanks to the hard work of artist Scott Koblish, who did the art for a lot of this Deadpool run. The Dark Room is not Duggan's first foray into Image Comics either; he recently teamed up with the rest of the Deadpool team to pen a satirical look at America's war on drugs in Image's The Secret History of the War on Weed.
