When making the original Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac Games had a massive lineup of costumes to choose from. Peter Parker’s long legacy in both comics and on the big screen ensured that there were dozens of cool suits to feature in the game, and more have been added to the lineup as the years have gone by. However, Insomniac Games did not have that same luxury with Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
While the young wallcrawler has taken the world by storm in recent years, his first comic book appearance came in 2011. As such, Miles as a character is just over a decade old, meaning that Marvel has not had that long to give him alternate costumes. As a result, Insomniac had to get creative, making several original costumes for Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Of all Insomniac’s original costumes for Miles Morales, none are quite as beloved as the Bodega Cat suit. This costume sees Miles donning a casual attire while having a feline companion follow him on his journey, with the mask-wearing cat occasionally hopping out of the bag to assist with a finishing move. Seeing the cat peek out when swinging through New York is a ton of fun, and with Insomniac already putting the work into the cat animations for Miles’ spin-off game, it would be a shame if the outfit was not brought back in his next adventure.
