Hulu has announced the premiere date for the comedy film The Valet starring Ready or Not's Samara Weaving and Eugenio Derbez. Derbez began his career in Mexico before eventually starring in his Hollywood breakout hit Instructions Not Included, which earned over $100 million worldwide. He is fresh off the Academy Award-winning film CODA. Meanwhile, Weaving has quickly established a notable resume in recent years that includes films like Guns Akimbo, Bill & Ted Face the Music, and Nine Perfect Strangers.
According to Deadline,The Valet will premiere globally across Disney’s Hulu streaming services on May 20th. The Valet is an English-language remake of the hit 2006 French film of the same name and is being directed by Richard Wong. The rising director previously helmed the comedy-drama Come as You Are. Derbez and Ben Odell are producing for 3Pas Studios, where the duo previously produced Derbez's comedy hit How to Be a Latin Lover, which also featured Salma Hayek and Kristen Bell. The Valet is written by Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher.

In The Valet, world-famous movie star Olivia, played by Weaving, faces a PR disaster when a paparazzi snaps a photo of her with her married lover, Vincent. A hard-working valet, Antonio, played by Derbez, accidentally appears in the same photo and is enlisted to pose as Olivia’s new boyfriend as a cover-up. This ruse with Olivia thrusts Antonio into the spotlight and the chaos that ensues. New Girl's Max Greenfield plays Weaving's lover, and other cast members include Betsy Brandt, Ravi Patel, and Carmen Salinas Lozano.
