With the SAG strike having come to an end, the has been revealed for the Marvel Studios sequel.
Variety is reporting that, according to sources close to the production, Deadpool 3 is set to resume production before Thanksgiving. This year, Thanksgiving takes place on Thursday, November 23, meaning filming on the Ryan Reynolds-led Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will likely resume within the next two weeks.
This comes after the film was put on hold for nearly four months as a result of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which began on July 14. Earlier today, it was confirmed that Deadpool 3 will now come out in summer 2024 alongside a photo of “Dogpool.“
Deadpool 3 will reunite lead star Ryan Reynolds with Free Guy and The Adam Project filmmaker Shawn Levy, who has signed on to helm the long-awaited project. The third installment will also feature the return of Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. Additionally, the movie will also welcome the addition of Marvel newcomers Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.
The film is written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells from a previous draft by the Molyneux sisters (Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin). It is produced by Reynolds, Levy, and Kevin Feige, who previously assured fans that Deadpool 3 will officially be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie.
