The screenwriters for Deadpool 3 tease that the upcoming installment of the Wade Wilson-focused franchise may have Morbius jokes due to the many memes. While the X-Men cinematic universe had a shaky finish before Disney's 21st Century Fox acquisition, the Deadpool franchise remained successful. Starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, the success of Deadpool 2 paved the way for a third installment to be put into development. But once Disney completed its acquisition, it seemed it was over for Deadpool, as Marvel Studios are looking to reboot the X-Men down the line.
However, while they're reimagining the Mutants, Reynolds' Deadpool is being integrated into the MCU, with Deadpool 3 set to happen from Marvel Studios. While Marvel Studios have co-involvement with Sony's Spider-Man films, including franchises like Venom and Morbius, Deadpool 3 will be the first X-Men-related film produced entirely by Disney. Reynolds is officially attached to reprise the role of Wade Wilson, with details still being kept heavily under wrap what the MCU will do with Deadpool 3.

Even though plot points haven't been disclosed, Deadpool 3 may take a dig or two at Morbius. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first two Deadpool films, recently appeared on the Post-Credit Podcast, where Morbius briefly came up during the conversation. While neither of them had seen the critically and box office-flopping Sony film, Reese and Wernick were told about the massive Morbius memes that emerged since its release. Once the podcast host explained the memes to the respective Deadpool 3 writers, Wernick and Reese may be jumping on the chance to include a few gags at Morbius, sharing the following:
