The soloOrange Lantern might just be the Green Lantern Corps' most twisted rival in the DC Universe considering he steals the identities of those he kills. As the sole possessor of the Orange Light of Avarice, Larfleeze has his own horrifying way of adding Orange Lanterns to his unique 'Corps.'
The light that powers the Green Lanterns makes up one part of the cosmic energy known as the Emotional Spectrum. While the Green Light is the most stable of the seven distinct energies, every other light is equal in power. But where the Green Lantern Corps' light is free from emotional influence, the other energies in the Emotional Spectrum are often linked to strong, powerful emotions. Beings who find themselves exposed to the Spectrum's more powerful lights, such as the Orange or even Red Lights, lose all sense of self and become slaves to intense and destructive emotions like greed or hatred.

While there may only be one Orange Lantern in the entire DCU, that doesn't mean Larfleeze doesn't desire a Corps of his very own. In Green Lantern #40 by Geoff Johns and Philip Tan, the Green Lantern Corps is forced to venture into the Vega System and deal with the extremely reclusive Orange Lantern Larfleeze. The paranoid and greedy alien attacks his enemies, under the idea that they've come to steal his ultimate treasure, the Orange Lantern Central Power Battery. Not one to lose anything that belongs to him, Larfleeze orders his constructs to attack the Lanterns.
