While many assume that the character will continue his arc from the Netflix series Daredevil, the creators of the upcoming Marvel Studios series have clarified that is not the case, as it seems like his character’s personality is getting a makeover for the upcoming series.
In the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer that was released during the San Diego Comic-Con, Cox's Daredevil made a surprise appearance. The series creators later confirmed that Cox is in fact a part of the cast roster. However, fans who are looking forward to seeing his character return to the small screen should expect some differences. She-Hulk head writer Jessica Gao has explained that it was quite surprising for her to know that Daredevil was being included in the script, and they had to make some tweaks to make him fit into Jennifer Walters' world.

Rumors about Cox joining the MCU as Daredevil were spinning online for a while before he first appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home as the lawyer Matt Murdock. So, when Gao began working on the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law script and was told they could use Daredevil, she was shocked. “We couldn’t believe it,” she told The Direct in an interview. The team kept thinking it was “a cruel joke,” and they were being pranked. But, when the writing process began, Gao and her team had to ensure that Cox's Daredevil would fit into “the tone of She-Hulk.”
