She-Hulk Writer Teases What's Next For Mark Ruffalo's The Hulk
With She-Hulk now in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans will definitely be getting more Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the newest episode may have just teased what's next for Mark Ruffalo's Hulk as well.
In episode two of She-Hulk, Bruce Banner is seen heading into space on a ship after he claims “he has some business to take care of." This has a great chance of being a teaser at the World War Hulkstoryline from the comics, and She-Hulk's head writer has made it seem like this could be the case during conversations with TV Line and The Direct.
How She-Hulk Takes The Audience Back To The Avengers Meeting
Gao, who's the head writer of She-Hulk, was asked if there were any intentions behind the way the Hulk exited She-Hulk. “A big part of it is Mark did what he came to do on the show, and we wanted to make sure that people knew, don’t expect him to be in every episode from here on out," Gao said. “But also, I think it kind of opens up the possibility if Marvel chooses to, to do something with that, to pick up that story. If they wanted.” In another interview with The Direct, Gao alluded to the Hulk having some unfinished business on Sakaar following the years he spent there, adding that many things could've happened during that time the Hulk was off Earth.
The World War Hulk comic storyline follows the Hulk crash landing on Sakaar and seeking revenge against the Illuminati for the part they played in the death of his pregnant wife. To fit into the current state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this would have to be slightly tweaked.
