Originally announced at The Game Awards 2020, The Callisto Protocol is an upcoming survival-horror title slated for release towards the end of this year. There have been plenty of eyes on the game since it was first announced, due to it being directed by Dead Space developer and co-creator Glen Schofield. While this already set high expectations for The Callisto Protocol, from everything the game has shown so far it seems to be living up to the hype.
With a December release date set for The Callisto Protocol, there are a few months for the team at Striking Distance Studios to build some more hype for the title and show off things gamers haven't seen yet. At this year's Gamescom, it seems that The Callisto Protocol will have plenty for fans to watch, as host Geoff Keighley has revealed that the horror title will be at the event later this month.

Keighley announced The Callisto Protocol's appearance over on his Twitter account, where he often shares sneak previews at what fans can expect at upcoming gaming events. According to Keighley, not only will The Callisto Protocol be showing off brand-new gameplay at Gamescom, but Glen Schofield will also be making an appearance. Schofield will be joining Keighley live on stage, which means The Callisto Protocol will be shown during the Gamescom Opening Night Live stream on August 23.
Geoff Keighley has done a good job of hyping up The Callisto Protocol's latest lot of gameplay footage, as he has stated he's already seen a sneak peek at the new demo, and has stated it is «a step beyond» the footage previously shown at Summer Game Fest.
