The beginning of 2022 saw a consistent slew of heavy hitting titles releasing one after another. Elden Ring brought players to the Lands Between, Horizon Forbidden West delivered Aloy's next big outing, and after many delays, Dying Light 2 Stay Human finally released. After announcing the first Dying Light 2 story DLC would see a delay from its initial June release, developer Techland has shared a brief snippet of the upcoming DLC, giving fans an insight as to what comes next.
If the first Dying Light title is known for anything outside its unique take on zombie survival, it's known for the large amount of developer support the game received since its release back in 2015. With the sequel, Techland has mentioned Dying Light 2 will see at least five years of support, with the upcoming Bloody Ties looking to be the first major story DLC following months of smaller content updates.

While only 30 seconds long, the newest trailer gives fans plenty of information. Set in what appears to be an arena style location named Carnage Hall, two humans are battling to the death. One human reigns supreme and walks over to collect his ominous prize of a skeletal piece. The trailer concludes by announcing more information is set to come on Gamescom 2022's Opening Night Live on August 23.
Techland shared a bit more information on the upcoming story DLC on the game's official website, which further points to an arena-style set-up for the DLC. The information points towards the new dangers headed to the fictional locale Dying Light 2 takes place in and the rewards that come with conquering said dangers.
