Warning! Spoilers ahead for Dark Crisis #1!
In DC's next crossover event, Dark Crisis, Darkseid teams up with some of the strongest villains in comic book history. Coming this summer, Dark Crisis is set to be the next big crisis that DC's heroes will face. The series is a monthly event written by Joshua Williamson with art by Daniel Sampere and colors by Alejandro Sánchez.
Everything that has happened since Infinite Frontier #0 has led to Dark Crisis, as the series promises to connect all the lingering threads across the DCU. Infinite Frontier began with the return of Darkseid in his ultimate form and only recently did Darkseid's true intentions come to surface. In Justice League Incarnate, the Great Darkness finally escaped from his multiversal prison, thanks to Darkseid doing his bidding.

According to DC Comics, Dark Crisis #1 directly picks up from Justice League #75 'The Death of the Justice League' in a world without the league. Leading the fight against DC's remaining superheroes is the Dark Army, a group of powerful supervillains from across the multiverse. Lingering in the top left corner of the issue's cover art is the Dark Army. Comprised of eight members, excluding Pariah and the looming Great Darkness, Deathstroke is front and center. Although one of the most notable villains, Deathstroke stands out as the least powerful villain but obviously has something to offer to the team considering his prominence.
