Critically acclaimed roguelike Cult of the Lamb has received a major post-release update.
On Monday, developer Massive Monster released the Relics of the Old Faith update, which adds among other things, a new post-game story, revamped bosses and enemies, “deeper combat”, and a new photo mode.
“Relics are an entirely new combat system that we’ve added for the Lamb to collect and combat,” the developer explained on social media. “From the Eye of Leshy to Clauneck’s Shoe, each of these ideological items will grant a powerful new ability for your crusades.”

In addition, Massive Monster says it’s added several features that were highly requested by fans, such as the ability to unlock previously missed doctrines, battle the final boss again, pause time during crusades and more.
“To be honest, we never expected so many people to want to play our game. The devotion you’ve shown is beyond our wildest dreams,” it said. “We’ve packed as much as we possibly could into this free update and we can’t wait for you to play it”.
To mark the release of the Relics of the Old Faith update, Cult of the Lamb is currently 35% off on various gaming platforms.
