Cryptic Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree Story Trailer Teases DLC's Plot
is back as FromSoftware debuts a stunning new trailer that shines the spotlight on 's story, giving players a taste of what to expect. The footage show is, in keeping with the genre's trappings, fairly cryptic but those versed in the game's deep lore will undoubtedly recognize some familiar faces as The Tarnished is sent to complete yet another dangerous quest in the Land of Shadow. Of course, the trailer also includes plenty of monstrous enemies and terrifying boss encounters to keep the community speculating.
Per the official Story Trailer on YouTube, the footage largely focuses on the war that unfolded in the Land of Shadow as the terrible leader known as Messmer unleashes his army of flame upon those who dwell under the Erdtree.
Miquella, a background character in, also takes the spotlight as the trailer highlights how the Empyrean loses his Golden Lineage seemingly in an effort to stop Messmer's barbaric onslaught. The trailer concludes with a group of heroes paying their respects to Miquella, implying that the seek vengeance.
