As Darkheart Thicket enters the Season 3 Mythic+ dungeon rotation, the Corrupted Knot is a new weapon dropped by Oakheart in Dragonflight Patch 10.2, giving collectors another chance to collect a rare one-handed mace model which currently has only one chance to drop per character in Exile's Reach!
The new Corrupted Knot has purple wrappings, and lighter colored bands around the head.
Avid collectors may recognize Tunk's Lil' Whomper as one of the more elusive one-handed models in the game, one of several items that can drop from the Ogryn boss Tunk during the Darkmaul Citadel mini-dungeon.
Though with no way to return to the island or instance after finishing the initial leveling process, players looking to farm this appearance must reroll a new character and complete the entirety of the introductory experience in order to encounter Trunk again — making for a very tedious and time consuming farm.
The exclusive coloration of the Tunk's Lil' Whomper will help ensure it remains sought after.
Patch 10.2 addresses this with a new drop from Oakheart in Darkheart Thicket, a returning Legion dungeon added to the Season 3 Mythic+ rotation! The Corrupted Knot is a purple wrapped recolor of the original though, so for better or for worse, there's still reason for the most dedicated collectors to continue going back to Exile's Reach.
