Ravencrest's Wrath - Legion Sword Finally Available from Black Rook Hold
With the addition of Black Rook Hold to the Season 3 Mythic+ dungeon rotation, players will gain the chance to loot Ravencrest's Wrath, the personal weapon of Lord Kur'talos Ravencrest!
This two-handed sword may look familiar, as it is actually a retexture of Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight from Blackwing Lair, which was reintroduced as Ravencrest's Legacy, one of the four no longer obtainable rewards of Treasure of the Timeless One, the final step of of the coveted Scarab Lord quest chain from Vanilla WoW. While the questline was removed entirely in Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3, it established the first link between Ravencrest and the sword.
Ravencrest's Wrath first appeared in the hands of Lord Kur'talos Ravencrest during the events of Legion, although it wasn't made available to players.
The weapon is now confirmed to drop from Lord Ravencrest's encounter in the Mythic+ version of Black Rook Hold, added to the Season 3 Mythic+ dungeon rotation, although we also datamined a one-handed version in Patch 10.0.5.
